According to MySA, Austin-based bar Armadillo Den is expanding, gearing up to debut a new outpost in New Braunfels.

Coming to Hunter Road at FM 306, the drinkery will land near establishments such as Best Buy, H-E-B, and Target.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the concept’s co-owner, Josh Hazzard, to inquire about the upcoming spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing discloses that ground-up construction of the 12,000-square-foot space — which will include the “new construction of [a] restaurant, associated restrooms, covered patio, pickle ball courts, and stage” — is scheduled to begin on February 15, 2025, and finish by December 15, 2025.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Armadillo Den, bar and entertainment professionals Josh Hazzard and Brett Berry debuted the concept in South Austin in 2020. Cade Archer and Skylar Reeves have since joined the team.

According to the Journal, the existing location offers “five Austin area food trucks, a 13-foot LED TV wall, live music every night and 18+ draft beers and four rotating mocktails, as well as craft beers and cocktails on tap.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
