International bakery café franchise Paris Baguette is expanding across the U.S. — aiming to grow from 150 to 1,000 outposts in the States by 2030.
According to Restaurant News, “In the coming months, the brand is honing its development efforts in Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Scottsdale, Columbus, Raleigh, Charlotte, and South Carolina.”
“We are very proud of the momentum we have. Last year we opened 24 stores. This year, we are more than halfway there in just three months,” Chief Development Officer Mark Mele tells Restaurant News.
“There has been a tremendous amount of franchise growth activity this year. I expect it to continue through Q2,” he says. The concept has already signed 40 franchise agreements in 2023.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, Paris Baguette is known for its “fresh-baked pastries, baguette sandwiches, coffee drinks & signature cakes” — including mochi donuts, chocolate croissants, and ganache cream cake sold by the slice — all served in a fast-casual setting.
What Now San Antonio was unable to speak to a company representative before the time of publication, and addresses for the upcoming San Antonio outposts have not yet been announced.
