Bellagreen, a fast-casual American bistro chain prolific throughout Houston, is expanding to San Antonio, according to a recently submitted construction permit application.

Coming to a shared building at 1900 Broadway in Government Hill, the eatery will soon neighbor Nineteen Hayku — a Japanese concept at the same address, which is slated to open later this month — as well as nearby establishments such as Amaretti Coffee, Sam’s Burger Joint, and The Modernist.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Bellagreen representatives to inquire about the expansion, but they were unable to provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing offers further insight.

Described as a “first generation finish-out with patio,” renovations to the 5,275-square-foot space are slated to begin on November 20, with plans to wrap up sometime in April 2024. For an estimated $300,000, the project will be carried out by the Irving-based design firm ID Studio 4.

Formerly known as “Ruggles Green,” the chain is known for its expansive menu that boasts everything from pizza to pasta, burgers, sandwiches, and tacos.

In addition to lunch and dinner, patrons can expect to find brunch options on the weekend, as well as a vast selection of beer and wine.

An opening date has not yet been announced, so follow Bellagreen on Facebook and Instagram for further updates.
