National chain Black Bear Diner plans to expand its footprint in San Antonio, according to Restaurant News.

“Continuing their strategy of developing the strong Texas market,” the chain “plans to open five new company-owned diners throughout the state in 2024” —including “a third San Antonio diner, as well as additional diners in Dallas, Houston, and Rio Grande Valley.”

What Now San Antonio reached out to Black Bear Diner for comment, but could not acquire additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, Anita Adams, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, tells Restaurant News, “The confidence in our brand is strong.”

She continues, “Based on strong bottom-line performance, existing franchisees are investing in new diner locations, while new franchise partners have come aboard as Black Bear Diner complements their portfolio with our unique full-service brand.”

The address an anticipated opening date have not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
