According to MySA, BBQ joint Blu Lacy is rebranding as Castroville Barbecue Company.

“As this chapter comes to a close, we are incredibly thankful for each guest who walked through our doors and enjoyed our craft barbecue,” 2M Smokehouse shares in a recent Instagram post.

The statement continues, “While Blu Lacy is concluding its time in Castroville, you can continue to enjoy our signature sweets at Baked by chef Grecia Ramos in Castroville and experience the same high-quality barbecue where it all began — at 2M Smokehouse in San Antonio.”

What Now San Antonio reached out to the concept’s co-owner, Selah Melig, to inquire about the upcoming business, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, in a recent post to the Blu Lacy Smokehouse page, the restaurant ensures locals that it will continue to offer “the same exceptional service and barbecue that has defined our restaurant.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
