According to the San Antonio Business Journal, the West Coast-based dining concept Squeeze In is expanding to Texas.
“San Antonio has a strong food culture and a growing population, just two of the reasons we selected the greater area for our first location in Texas,” Co-Owner Shila Morris tells the Journal.
While an address has not been announced yet, the breakfast restaurant chain is preparing to debut its first outpost in the state in San Antonio and, per the report, is eyeing the Stone Oak and Alamo Heights neighborhoods.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Squeeze in, the business briefly introduces itself on its website: “Nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountain town of Truckee, CA, Squeeze In first opened its doors in 1974. At just 10 feet wide and 62 feet long, guests literally have to ‘squeeze in’ to enjoy the cozy breakfast nook that offers ‘the best omelettes on the planet,’ alongside boozy mimosas, eclectic decor, and unforgettable charm.”
“The little place with big personality captivated the Young family, who took the helm in 2004,” the statement continues. The business currently operates a total of eight locations across California and Nevada.
In addition to omelettes and mimosas, the menu offers eggs Benedict, pancakes, and French toast. Burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and salads are available as lunch options.
“Squeeze In has become a generational favorite thanks to an unbeatable menu of breakfast and brunch classics, served with warm hospitality and at a great value. We’re looking forward to San Antonio-area residents getting a taste of what we’re all about in the new year,” Morris shares.
