According to a recently submitted permit application, Burger King is expanding its San Antonio footprint.

Coming to the North Star Mall at 7400 San Pedro Avenue, Space #9, the fast-food concept will land near establishments such as Jamba Juice, Marble Slab Creamery, and The Cheesecake Factory.

Behind the expansion is IRMG Burger of North Star, a restaurant management group that operates more than 200 units across 29 states. In addition to Burger King, the business manages outposts for Kelly’s Cajun Grill, Wok a Holic, Yeung’s Lotus Express, and Suki Hana.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Anthony Napoliello, the President of International Restaurant Management Group, to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before the time of publication.

Nevertheless, the filing offers further insight.

Renovations to the existing 736-square-foot space are scheduled to begin on August 5 and be completed on November 11. For an estimated $239,000, the project will be carried out by Florida-based firm Hiatt Architecture.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
