Brazilian steakhouse chain Chama Gaucha is planning to debut a new location in San Antonio, according to a recent filing with the Historic and Design Review Commission.

Coming to 219 E. Houston Street, the eatery will soon neighbor establishments such as Bohanan’s, The Majestic Theatre, and The Palm.

For readers unfamiliar with the Texas-based dining concept, Chama Gaucha calls itself “San Antonio’s most lavish Brazilian steakhouse” and is known for having its servers “circulate around the restaurant with skewers of sizzling meats cooked over an open flame.”

“Our restaurant’s name, ‘Chama Gaucha,’ translates to ‘Gaucho’s Flame,’ representing the fiery passion and expertise that goes into every dish,” the eatery shares on its website — “Our menu is a testament to our commitment to culinary excellence, offering a fusion of flavors that will transport you to the heart of Brazil with every bite.”

An opening date has not been announced, so follow Chama Gaucha on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
