According to MySA, Chef Jennifer Dobbertin of Best Quality Daughter is debuting a new cocktail concept.
Coming to 312 Pearl Parkway, Jue Let — “which pays homage to the historic Chinese chef Jue Let, whose cuisine inspired American chef James Beard” — will land near establishments such as Full Goods Diner, Ladino, and Lick Honest Ice Creams.
“It was Jue Let who introduced young Beard to Chinese cuisine, shaping his palate and trajectory as a culinary icon,” Dobbertin shares in a recent press release.
She continues, “I also learned he had a Chinese nanny, grew up with another Chinese family, and was surrounded by Chinese culture during his childhood. I felt it was important to pay homage to that fact.”
What Now San Antonio reached out to Dobbertin to inquire about her plans for the concept, but she could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, Dobbertin adds, “We’ve been working really hard on this project, and it’s been something that I’ve been thinking about for years. Later this year, we’ll have more info about the details of design and food and drinks programs.”
An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
