Lil’ Bros BBQ Shack Opens Its Doors at The Rock at La Cantera
The newest BBQ venture by Chef Jason Dady Restaurants debuted at 1 Spurs Wy, San Antonio, on September 18. Lil’ Bros BBQ Shack brings bold and inventive barbecue creations to the San Antonio location.
This pitmaster pop-up draws inspiration from Chef Dady’s acclaimed Two Bros BBQ. Lil’ Bros BBQ Shack focuses on masterclass pit expertise through slow-roasted meats and creative BBQ side dishes. San Antonio families and Spurs fans can enjoy a backyard-style setting while savoring slow-smoked meats and inventive barbecue sides.
Set outdoors at Frost Plaza, Lil’ Bros BBQ Shack has quickly become a go-to spot at The Rock at La Cantera, home to the Spurs’ Victory Capital Performance Center.

Menu Highlights and Operating Hours
The menu at Lil’ Bros BBQ Shack features multiple classic slow-smoked meats seen at Chef Dady’s award-winning Two Bros BBQ. Some notable items are Chopped Beef, Pulled Pork, and Beef Brisket. The spotlight is also on new additions, such as Smoked Half Chicken and Kiolbassa Sausage.
Lil’ Bros BBQ Shack serves patrons with many specialty handheld items, including Mac Dady Grilled Cheese and Smoked Brisket Tacos. Sides such as Elote Cream Corn with Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and Green Chile Mac ‘N Cheese add a creative twist to classic barbecue fare.
Three unique BBQ sauce options are available to the diners, such as Golden Blaze with a Carolina Gold mustard base, Guava Lava with guava and gochujang, and Shiner Molasses with dark beer, espresso, and molasses.
A “Mini Pitmasters” kids’ menu and desserts are offered through Lil’ Bros BBQ Shack’s menu as well.
Lil’ Bros BBQ is open for lunch and dinner Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
About the Restaurant
Since 2001, Chef Jason Dady has built a reputation in the culinary world, including recognition as a James Beard Foundation Award semifinalist. The Texas native has appeared frequently on Food Network and Travel Channel, most recently on Food Network’s ‘BBQ Brawl.
This year, Chef Dady is one of the six ambassadors representing San Antonio as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. He is set to participate in national, local, and international events to promote the city’s culinary heritage.
Chef Dady leads The Jason Dady Restaurant Group along with his brother, Jake, and wife, Crystal. The restaurant chain includes seven beloved restaurants and offers events and catering services. These concepts are Tuscan-Italian dining at Tre Trattoria, a Tuscan steakhouse at Range, Texas pit barbecue at Two Bros. The group continues to grow with the latest backyard pitmaster pop-up, Lil’ Bros BBQ Shack. Plus, a new Tre Pizzeria is opening at the San Antonio International Airport in November. Mexico Ceaty, an immersive dining, entertainment, and shopping destination at the Rivercenter Mall along the San Antonio River Walk, is also ready to debut in late 2025.
