According to MySA, Chef Stefan Bowers — the restaurateur behind Rebelle, a seafood restaurant inside the St. Anthony Hotel — plans to debut a new brick-and-mortar restaurant, Pumpers.

Coming to 1101 Broadway, the burger joint will land near establishments such as El Camino, Elsewhere Garden Bar & Kitchen, and NOLA Brunch & Beignets.

Bowers tells What Now San Antonio that the Pumpers menu will feature six burger options, an East-coast style hotdog topped with coleslaw, and a ground chicken sandwich — and, to drink, a frozen cocktail program will be the feature.

According to the filing, renovations to the existing 616-square-foot spot are slated to begin on July 29 and be completed on October 4. For an estimated $195,000, local firm The Jordan Group ERIN VALENCIA will carry out the project.

“If all goes as planned with the construction, we’ll be opening 10/15,” Bowers tells MySA. Stay tuned for updates.
