Well-known chicken sandwich chain Chick-fil-A is expanding in the Texas Hill Country, planning to debut a new 4,893-square-foot outpost in Universal City, according to a recently submitted permit application.

Coming to 700 Kitty Hawk Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as H-E-B, Lee’s Kitchen, and Walmart Supercenter.

What Now San Antonio contacted Todd Williams, Chick-fil-A’s Director of Development, to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing reveals that construction of the new restaurant is scheduled to begin on February 10, 2025, and finish on July 17. For an estimated $1,200,000, the work will be carried out by Dallas-based firm Mayse & Associates, Inc.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
