The chicken sandwich chain Chick-fil-A plans to take over a space at the USAA Corporate Office in San Antonio at 9800 Fredericksburg Road.

According to a recent building permit application, the fast-food corporation will spend $1,518,339 to remodel an existing 1,264-square-foot spot and update equipment and finishes. Chosen to carry out the job is local firm Beaty Palmer Architects.

With over 400 locations, Texas has more Chick-fil-A outposts than any other state in the nation—and nearly double how many exist in second-place Georgia. There are already 30-plus outposts in San Antonio alone, and the chain’s expansion doesn’t appear to be ceasing soon.

What Now San Antonio recently reached out to the Director of Development, Todd Williams, to inquire about a potential opening date, but he was not immediately available for comment.

Nevertheless, construction is scheduled to be completed in June 2024.
