A popular food truck in the city is pulling into the Windcrest area with a brick-and-mortar this year.

It is being reported Com Tam Ba Thi will be opening at 4941 Walzem Road, Suite 101 following the closure of their food truck this month. This is in the same plaza as Fishland Fish Market on the north side of the road. When contacted, the owners were not available for comment.

“We are moving with a grand opening date of Monday April 6th,” says a recent post from the restaurant.

When What Now San Antonio reached out to the owners, they were not available for comment. The reason for the move was reportedly to make more room for the concept, and not that a lease at their food truck was up. It was revealed over the summer that Thai Chalurn was listed as closed due to a family emergency, and now the owners have closed for good.

Their menu features many custom Vietnamese dishes, including grilled meat noodle, heart porridge, shrimp and meat pancakes, and grilled feather clams. Other seafood options like grilled shrimp and grilled squid satay are available. The full menu can be found on their Facebook page.

The new Com Tam Ba Thi is already listed on Google Maps, opening next to Fishland Fish Market and across from Melendez Mexican Restaurant. Other concepts at this stretch of Walzem Road include Super Pollos Asados, Helados Cremi ice cream and El Genio Pizzeria Cubana. From a recent post, signage is up at the building.
