Comfort Cafe, a “casual charity hangout with a patio” found in northeast San Antonio, is opening at a new location.

According to a Facebook announcement posted on June 17, the upcoming eatery will be at 6812 Bandera Road, Suite 101 in Leon Valley — a space formerly home to restaurant Deco Cafe Filipiniana — near Taqueria Oro Azul Mexican Restaurant, Tia’s Taco Hut, and Weikee Chinese Restaurant.

What Now San Antonio reached out to co-owner Rosalina Lopez to inquire about the new location, but she could not offer further information before publication.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the establishment, Comfort Cafe is known for offering “pay-what-you-can menu pricing that benefits a recovery program for addicts,” according to MYSA.

An opening date has not yet been announced. Follow Comfort Cafe on Facebook for additional updates.
