A team of established San Antonio area restaurateurs is debuting a new concept in Boerne.

According to a recent report by MySA, The Rill Eatery & Bar will take over a space formerly home to German restaurant Little Gretel at 518 River Road — near establishments such as Bear Moon Bakery Cafe, El Cazador Restaurant + Bar, and The Dodging Duck Brewhaus & Restaurant.

Co-owner Kris Padier shares that The Rill plans to offer charcuterie boards, flatbread pizzas, sliders, and “Texas-style egg rolls” — alongside keto and vegan options.

Concerning ambiance, an outdoor patio area is currently under construction, and patrons can expect to find TVs and a margarita bar.

The Rill will mark Kris and David Padier’s second concept, with Barbed Wire Burger Co. in La Vernia as their first. Additionally, Roeh Kfir — the owner of bars in Adkins and San Antonio — is named as a proprietor.

The Rill is slated to open later this summer. Stay tuned for additional updates.
