Extra Fine, a bakery and coffee shop based in Midtown, is planning to debut its second location, according to MySA.

Coming to 812 S. Presa Street — taking over a spot formerly home to My Juice Life — the concept will land near establishments such as Bliss, Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, and The Haven Southtown.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Extra Fine, the eatery was founded by Chef John and Jessica Philpot in 2020 and is known for offering a wide variety of fresh-baked goods.

“So there was going to be, originally, a downtown location, and then the Southtown location was going to act as a commissary and a storefront,” John Philpot tells MySA — “We’re only opening the Southtown location as of right now.”

Empty Stomach Group principal Chad Carey also reached out to clarify that although Extra Fine will not be headed downtown quite yet, the restaurant group is still making moves in the area, with more details to become available in the coming months,” MySA elaborates.

Extra Fine’s Southtown location is slated to open by the end of May.
