According to a recently submitted permit application, local business EZ’s Brick Oven and Grill plans to open a new location this winter.
Coming to 12922 Potranco Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as Black Rock Coffee Bar, Killer Burger, and Mexican Cowboy Street Kitchen.
The concept’s CEO, Guy Macbrohn, tells What Now San Antonio, “This is our first new location in a very long time… We’re very excited to be on the Far West Side of San Antonio. We think that our concept and menu will be a great addition to this community and its continued growth.”
Additionally, the filing reveals that the finish out of the 3,875-square-foot space is scheduled to begin on June 2 and finish on October 1. For an estimated $290,000, local firm Hospitality Design Group will manage the project.
For readers who are unfamiliar with EZ’s Brick Oven and Grill, the fast-casual concept was founded in 1989, when its first location opened at the Sunset Ridge Shopping Center. Its menu boasts a selection of burgers, calzones, pizza, sandwiches, and entrees such as the “fan favorite,” according to MacBrohn, the basil chicken pasta.
“Everything is made to order — all of the dough, sauces, it’s all made in-house,” he elaborates.
“We don’t have a firm opening date yet. If all goes according to plan, we’re hoping to open in mid to late September,” MacBrohn shares. Stay tuned for updates.
