Famous Toastery is embarking on a Texas expansion, starting with San Antonio. The new Shops at Babcock development flyer show that the new brunch eatery is set to open in the new shopping center, along with a Smoothie King, an unnamed Asian restaurant, and a host of other restaurants and shops.
According to the Abiso Real Estate flyer, the new Famous Toastery will open at 15031 Babcock Road, Suite 130. PR Newswire reports that local franchise owner Rachell Bonds, a retired Army Officer with over 27 years of dedicated service, plans to open the brand’s first Lone State location by the end of 2025.
What Now San Antonio reached out to Bonds to confirm the opening date. Bonds did respond; however, the veteran did not share any updates on the opening.
According to the Famous Toastery website, the breakfast spot was founded in 2005 in Huntersville, N.C., in a small house-turned-restaurant by best friends Brian Burchill and Robert Maynard.
“The concept quickly grew to three locations, serving new and loyal clients dishes such as made-from-scratch portabella mushroom benedict and avocado omelets,” the website reads.
Famous Toastery began franchising in 2013. Since then, the eatery has become widely beloved across the Southeast region of the U.S., with over 25 Famous Toastery locations between North and South Carolina and Virginia. Now the breakfast brand is continuing its culinary venture with a boom into the Texas Market.
Famous Toastery serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Crowd favorites include the Famous Hash, The Blah-Blah-Blah Omelet BYO, the Club Sandwich, and The Avocado Omelet.
Many, if not all, of the Famous Toastery establishments have stuck with the same celebrated and appreciated menu, and we’re sure you can expect the same when Famous Toastery comes to Texas for the first time.
Famous Toastery is expected to open at The Shops at Babcock at 115031 Babcock Road, Suite 130, by the end of the year.
