Fork to Fit Kitchen is embarking on an expansion into the Alamo City! The healthy meal prep Rio Grand Valley-based brand is set to debut in San Antonio this year. According to a recently filed permit, Fork to Fit Kitchen is set to open in the Culebra Commons at 7010 W Loop 1604 N.

Construction plans detail that work on the project is slated to start in a few weeks and wrap up before the end of July of this year. Fork to Fit Kitchen Co-Founder and CEO, Alex Velasco, shared in an email interview with What Now San Antonio that the goal is to open by late July or early August 2026.

“San Antonio is a city of doers — people who show up every single day and keep everything running,” Velasco said.

“That’s exactly who we built Fork to Fit Kitchen for. The commercial energy along Loop 1604 tells you everything you need to know about the people in that corridor. We say it all the time: stay busy, we’ve got you covered.”

Velasco started Fork to Fit Kitchen with partner, Co-Founder Jose Guerra, in McAllen in 2018. The goal was simple: to revolutionize fast food by providing nutrient-dense, macro-balanced, grab-and-go meals to the Rio Grande Valley, with multiple locations now operating, including in Mission and Edinburg

There are now nine Fork to Fit Kitchen locations in Texas.

“Fork to Fit Kitchen is a healthy fast-casual restaurant built around performance-driven nutrition,” Velasco said.

“We make clean, macro-balanced meals fast, affordable, and accessible — so eating well isn’t a luxury, it’s just part of your routine. We serve the everyday doer: teachers, students, government officials, doctors, nurses, EMTs, military personnel — the people who drive communities forward. Our purpose is simple: to serve all those who serve us every day.”

Beyond the meals, Fork to Fit Kitchen also serves fresh saladssandwiches, and, for those with a sweet tooth, guilt-free sweet treats like protein cookies, PB chocolate balls, and more, all grab-and-go ready.

“Our protein shakes are made with real fruit and real ingredients paired with high-quality protein,” Velasco said of the Fork to Fit Kitchen menu.

“Our coffees are genuinely something people talk about — and still calorie-conscious. We round it out with zero-calorie refreshments, acai bowls, yogurts, fresh breakfast options, and more. Every single item is built to fuel performance without making you choose between eating clean and eating well. Full menu at forktofitkitchen.com/menu.”

Fork to Fit Kitchen is set to debut in San Antonio in the Culebra Commons at 7010 W Loop 1604 N by this summer.

“San Antonio deserves a restaurant that’s built for the people who keep the city going,” Velasco said.

“We’re not just opening another location — we’re bringing a health infrastructure to a new community. The people who serve us every day deserve to be fueled the right way.”
