According to a recently submitted permit application, Freddy’s Frozen Custard in Selma — located at 8379 Agora Parkway, near establishments such as Chick-fil-A, the dessert shop Crumbl, and Hobby Lobby — will soon undergo renovations.
What Now San Antonio reached out to the franchisee, Joe DePinto Jr. of Five Point Growth Partners, to inquire about his plans for the spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the filing states that renovations to the 3,500-square-foot standalone Freddy’s will include a repaint, the replacement of the tile in the lobby, and the squaring off of the building’s roof.
The improvements are slated to begin on June 16 and finish on July 11. For an estimated $300,000, the Wichita, Kansas-based firm Tessere will carry out the project.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the business, its website offers a brief introduction: “Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers was co-founded in 2002 by brothers Bill and Randy Simon with their friend and business partner, Scott Redler.”
The statement continues, “Freddy’s has become one of the fastest growing franchises in the U.S., starting in 2002 with a single restaurant in Wichita, Kansas, to more than 400 locations today.”
An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Freddy’s Frozen Custard on Facebook for updates.
