Fresh Bowl is gearing up to bring the fresh authenticity back to the Mexican bowl experience. Originating in Mexico, the new “Chipotle-style” brand will open doors for the first time in the US at the La Acarta Retail Center in San Antonio.

Recently submitted permits for the establishment show the new bowl-to-go spot will open up at 115 N Loop 1604 #2103. Co-owner Javier Mendez told What Now San Antonio that construction is currently underway, and he intends to open this fifth installment of Fresh Bowl in December.

Serving up a variety of customizable bowls with an array of toppings, the Mexican dining experience blossomed into four locations throughout Mexico. Mendez started the culinary venture with his wife, Monica C. Garcia Permodo, and his partner, Juan Carlos.

“It is a mix of CAVA, Chipotle, and Salta, that’s our concept,” Mendez said. “Fresh food with explosive flavors and taste that brings the authentic flavors from Mexico out while still being healthy and fast.”

While the concept may not be new, the fresh authenticity is all Fresh Bowl. Mendez is looking forward to bringing their Mexican-born brand to his beloved San Antonio community.

“We’re very excited to be here in San Antonio to bring a new concept, and we hope that everybody comes and tries out our restaurant. We will be happy to serve you,” Mendez said.

You can expect to see Fresh Bowl in the La Arcarta Retail Center at 115 N Loop 1604 #2103  in December 2025.
