According to MySA, San Antonio’s Godai Sushi Bar & Japanese Restaurant — located at 11203 West Avenue, near establishments such as Midas Auto Repair Shop, PRESS Coffee, and Las Adelitas Gorditas #3 — has changed hands.

The concept’s owner, Steve Han — who also owns Dragon Bowls, a Korean fusion restaurant at UTSA — tells What Now San Antonio, “I have known the previous owners for about 20 years and that Godai Sushi was a great place.”

He continues, “We plan on keeping all of the good sushi quality and adding more Korean items to the menu,” listing items such as bulgogi and bibimbap.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, Godai opened in 2005 and “went on to become a popular spot for his signature sushi rolls and hospitality,” MySA reports.

“We soft-opened this week and are waiting on our beer and wine license now,” Han shares. Stay tuned for updates.
