According to a recently submitted construction permit application, Austin-based burger chain Hopdoddy plans to debut a new outpost in San Antonio later this year.
Coming to 11267 Huebner Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as the Mediterranean concept CAVA, Papouli’s Greek Grill, and Richie’s Hot Chicken.
Vice President of Design and Construction at Hopdoddy, Mitch Liggett, tells What Now San Antonio, “We’re planning to open by the end of the year… We’re targeting November.”
Additionally, the filing reveals that renovations to the existing 3,358-square-foot space are slated to begin on July 6. For an estimated $350,000, Irving, Texas-based firm ID Studio 4 will manage the project.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Hopdoddy, the business opened its flagship location on South Congress Avenue in Austin in 2010. Presently, the company operates 32 restaurants — seven of which are in Texas, across Central Texas, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. Outside of Texas, Hopdoddy has outposts in Arizona, California, Colorado, and Tennessee.
On the menu, visitors can expect to find gourmet burgers — for example, the Ahi Tuna, a “fresh ground sushi-grade tuna patty seared rare, topped with teriyaki, nori chips, pickled ginger, lettuce, tomato, cucumber wasabi, and mayo” — as well as hand-cut fries, salads, milkshakes, cocktails, and craft beer.
Stay tuned for updates.
