According to a recently submitted permit application, a new dining concept listed as Sea Spice is readying to make its debut in San Antonio.

Coming to the Jefferson Building at 1900 Broadway, the eatery will land near establishments such as Amaretti Coffee & Chai, Nineteen Hyaku, and Sam’s Burger Joint.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Gerardo De Anda, Co-Founder of Gusto Group USA — the restaurant group behind the upcoming eatery — but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing reveals that renovations to the existing 2,999-square-foot spot are slated to begin on July 1 and finish on December 1. For an estimated $675,000, the project will be carried out by Richardson, Texas-based firm J.C. Hsu Architect.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Gusto Group, CultureMap offers a brief introduction to the company: “In less than a decade, Gusto has grown from a single location of Toro Kitchen + Bar to one of Alamo City’s largest restaurant groups. Today, the company runs three locations of Toro, Cuisine Cocina Mexicana, and several bars, including its latest opening, Books: A Whiskey Society.”

An opening date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for updates.
