In New Braunfels, a vacant building formerly home to the City Hall will soon gain new life, set to be converted into restaurant and office space, according to state records.

At 150 N Seguin Avenue, the yet-to-be-named development will neighbor establishments such as McAdoo’s Seafood Company, Muck & Fuss Craft Beer and Burgers, and New Braunfels Coffee.

Behind the project is Wiggins Hospitality Group, which plans “to celebrate the building’s history in the restoration of the existing art deco building designed by Jeremiah Schmidt,” DiBello Architects shares in a filing with the city.

According to an application submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, scheduled renovations include adding 3,000 square feet to accommodate a kitchen, bar, dining space, and courtyard, with construction scheduled to begin on October 15 and be completed in May 2024.

An anticipated opening date and other pertinent details have not yet been announced, and representatives of Wiggins Hospitality Group were unable to provide additional information before publication.
