According to the Austin Business Journal, Hopdoddy Burger Bar is expanding in Texas, “with the goal this time of doubling its restaurant count within five years.”

“The 14-year-old chain of burger joints is on a trajectory to have 45 new stores by 2030 — from just under 50 now,” shares ABJ.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the HiBar Hospitality Group-backed concept, Hopdoddy offers a brief introduction on its website: “In 2010, four friends had a goal: to set a new standard for burger bars. Hopdoddy pushed the boundaries of what’s expected by bringing together craft beer and unique burger concoctions – all with high-quality ingredients and even higher standards.”

“We’re focused on quality over quantity, and we’re not in a rush and we want to do it right,” shares the company’s CEO, Jeff Chandler. He adds, “Anytime we start talking about growth, it’s usually the three-legged stool of do you have the sites, do you have the money and do you have the people to be able to grow your culture as fast as you can physically grow brick and mortar.”

While an anticipated opening date has not been announced yet, the eatery will be located at Schertz Station, a 257,000-square-foot commercial development coming to 18658 I-35.
