Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse — a Houston-based all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse chain — is planning to debut its first outpost in San Antonio, according to San Antonio Express News.
Coming to 17660 Henderson Pass, taking over a 4,900-square-foot space that was formerly home to Los Cabriteros Mexican, the eatery will land near establishments such as Barnes & Noble, H-E-B, and Old Navy.
“We obviously love the culture, the history, and we realized that San Antonio would be a fantastic market … because there aren’t a ton of amazing steakhouses,” Katie Aguirre, the company’s events and community outreach manager, tells the journal.
She continues, “We were super-excited because San Antonio seems very lunch-y. We definitely plan on being open for lunch.”
For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, Avenida Brazil is known for an “all-you-can-eat salad bar and a wide selection of meat including steaks, pork, and chicken, as well as seafood such as scallops, salmon, and shrimp,” San Antonio Express News reports.
Founded in 2008, the chain has three restaurants in the Houston region. What Now San Antonio contacted the concept’s co-owner, Vanderlei Bernardi, to inquire about the expansion, but she could not provide additional information before publication.
An opening date has not been announced. Follow Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse on Facebook for further updates.
