Insomnia Cookies is preparing to treat the downtown San Antonio area to its late-night treats with the opening of its third location in the Alamo City. The national cookie chain is set to open the new sweet treat eatery at 122 E Houston St. #104, according to a recently filed permit.
The permit also details that construction on the Houston Street Insomnia Cookies is expected to start this December and wrap up by mid-January 2026. So, San Antonian late-night cookie munchers can rejoice in knowing that they should be able to get their fill by February 2026, just in time to get their love or themselves a box of the warm and gooey delectables.
Customers can either get Insomnia Cookies in a pack, in an ice cream sandwich, or one by one, and there is a variety of pickings to choose from. Guests can purchase everything from the classics like snickerdoodle and chocolate chip to deluxe cookies that are more on the experimental side, like the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Deluxe or the S’mores Deluxe, a plethora of options to tickle any cookie lover’s fancy. Besides cookies, Insomnia Cookies also serves brownies and cookie cakes; they even cater and offer vegan cookies.
While the cookie brand is known for its all-night up-late sweet offerings, customers don’t have to leave their homes to get these milk-dunking snacks. Insomnia Cookies partners with multiple delivery outposts to pump their treats out to their Insomnia Cookies lovers.
Insomnia Cookies is continuing its hot and juicy expansion in San Antonio with the opening coming in hot after opening two locations near universities in 2024. The new cookie hub will be in sweet company on Houston Street. Both Voodoo Doughnut and Cookie Plug are in the downtown strip where the new Insomnia Cookies will live.
While this is only the third location in the San Antonio area, the international brand is smudging its mark all over the country with more than 300 Insomnia Cookies locations worldwide.
What Now San Antonio reached out to Kaitlynn Price, who is listed on the permit, and according to her LinkedIn, is the Director of Design for Insomnia Cookies, but did not receive a response by the time of publication.
But, if all goes well with construction and permitting, you can expect to see, and quite possibly smell, the new Insomnia Cookies at 122 E Houston St. #104 when it opens in the downtown strip in January 2026.
