According to a recently submitted permit application, Texas Roadhouse is expanding its presence in the San Antonio metropolitan area, revealing that the international restaurant chain plans to debut a new outpost in New Braunfels before the end of the year.
Coming to 3206 S I-35 South Frontage Road, the steakhouse will land near establishments such as H-E-B Plus!, the Chinese food restaurant P.F. Chang’s, and Target.
What Now San Antonio reached out to company representatives to inquire about their expansion plans; however, we were unable to gather additional information before the time of publication.
Nevertheless, the filing states that the “new construction of a sit-down restaurant and bar” began on February 1 and is scheduled to be completed by September 30. The Ohio-based firm Greenberg Farrow is tasked with developing the 8,091 square-foot restaurant for an estimated $2,000,000.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the history of the company, Texas Roadhouse was founded in Clarksville, Indiana, in 1993, per its website. Today, it’s headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, and operates over 700 locations across 49 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, Mexico, the Middle East (in countries such as Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates), Asia (in China, the Philippines, South Korea, and Taiwan).
