After serving pizza lovers for a year at 2622 Goliad Rd., San Antonio, TX 78223, the Italian eatery shut its doors in May 2025. But San Antonio’s diners can now rejoice as Focaccia Mia will reopen next month. It was shared through a Facebook post about its ‘Grand Re-Opening,’ scheduled for July 4, 2025.
Focaccia Mia will restart serving handcrafted pizzas, focaccia bread, sandwiches, pasta, and fresh salads at the same Goliad Road location.
The Italian Eatery Returns After Ceasing Operations in May
Focaccia Mia entered the culinary space of San Antonio in 2024. But in just a year, it temporarily closed operations on May 23. The Italian bistro had then shared the news through a Facebook post. Its owner, chef Miguel Cortez, had cited reorganizing themselves as the reason behind the sudden break.
In the same post, he had assured diners regarding Focaccia Mia’s potential return in the fall of 2025. Keeping his promise, Cortez is bringing back the Italian bistro this summer.
Updated Menu at the San Antonio Establishment
As Focaccia Mia is back in business with renewed energy, it will now present diners with a new menu. The Italian food place could bring a smaller menu with 12 pizza options, two kinds of pasta, two wing flavors, and three salad types. The San Antonio establishment could offer an 18-inch pizza (like NY style).
About Focaccia Mia
Nestled near the Brooks City Base, the Italian restaurant is a preferred place for San Antonio’s pizza and pasta lovers. Focaccia Mia’s owner has previously stated that the pizza doughs, sauces, and breads are made from scratch.
The return of Focaccia Mia with an updated menu after a brief hiatus could mark a new chapter in San Antonio’s culinary world. Food lovers can visit the Goliad Road location for fresh items, including NY-inspired pizzas.
