Sandwich franchise Jersey Mike’s plans to expand in Seguin.

According to public records, the fast-casual concept will take over a space at 1417 East Walnut Street, near establishments such as Schlotzsky’s, The Cowboy’s Palace, and Whataburger.

What Now San Antonio contacted Operating Partner Steven Tozzi to inquire about the upcoming outpost, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, a recent construction permit application describes the project as the “interior tenant finish out” of an existing 1,200-square-foot space, slated to begin in February 2024 and be completed in August. The job will cost an estimated $250,000 and be carried out by St. Louis-based design firm Oculus Inc.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Jersey Mike’s, Kyle Potvin, Principal at Splash Communications, shares an introduction with What Now San Antonio: “Jersey Mike’s Subs, a fast-casual sub sandwich franchise with nearly 2,500 locations nationwide, believes that making a sub sandwich and making a difference can be one and the same. Jersey Mike’s offers a Sub Above, serving authentic fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs on freshly baked bread – the same recipe it started with in 1956.”

An opening date has not been announced yet. Follow Jersey Mike’s on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
