According to a recently submitted permit application, national coffee shop chain Just Love Coffee & Cafe is preparing to open an outpost in San Antonio.
Coming to 6010 UTSA Boulevard, Suite 209, the coffee shop will soon be neighbored by establishments such as Costco, Fuego Tortilla Grill, and Taco Palenque.
What Now San Antonio reached out to the location’s franchisees, Joshua and Erica Robertson, to inquire about their plans for the upcoming cafe; however, they could not provide additional information before the time of publication.
Nevertheless, the filing states that the interior build-out of the 12,784-square-foot space began on July 3 and is scheduled to be completed by October 15. Renovations will cost an estimated $350,000 in total.
For readers unfamiliar with the business’s history, Just Love Coffee offers a brief summary of how it got started on its website: “The story of Just Love Coffee begins in 2009 when Rob and Emily Webb traveled to Ethiopia, where they met their newly adopted children. Witnessing the financial challenges of adoption, Rob combined his passion for hand-roasted coffee and his drive to support families through the adoption process. This innovative idea gave birth to the online coffee shop, Just Love Coffee Roasters.”
“I could see that there was a market for hand-roasted coffee, but I never dreamed that Just Love Coffee Cafe would be anything more than a small business devoted to helping families fundraise to offset the expensive costs of adopting children. Just Love Coffee Cafe grew out of a need to do positive things in the world,” Rob Webb shares.
“The socially conscious, online coffee business flourished, allowing Just Love Coffee Roasters to donate nearly $100,000 to families within the first year. The success paved the way for the opening of the first Just Love Coffee Cafe in 2011,” the statement continues.
Today, Just Love Coffee & Cafe is headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee, and operates over 50 locations nationwide.
On the menu, locals can expect to find breakfast items such as sandwiches, burritos, tacos, omelets, and waffles. For lunch, offerings include quesadillas, wraps, and classic sandwich options, such as a BLT.
