American multinational fast-casual chain KFC is planning to open a new location in Boerne, according to a recently submitted construction permit application.
Coming to NEC IH-10 at Christus Parkway, where Boerne Town Center is currently under construction, the upcoming outpost will neighbor additional incoming tenants such as McAlister’s Deli, MOD Pizza, and Panda Express, according to an article by My San Antonio that broke news on the development last year.
What Now San Antonio reached out to Mark Peterson, the Vice President at Desert de Oro Foods, Inc. — the franchisee behind the upcoming spot — to inquire about the outpost, but he could not provide further information before publication.
Nevertheless, the filing provides additional insight.
Renovations to the 2,512-square-foot site are set to begin on September 5 and to be completed by January 2024. For an estimated $800,000, the job will be carried out by local architecture firm Charles William Pope and Associates.
