According to MySA, Local bakery and cafe concept La Panadería plans to debut a new location at 812 S Alamo Street.
“Fans of Southtown will be happy to know the emptied Brown Coffee space will soon feature new life. The space, which sits next to Cinnaholic and Gus’s Fried Chicken, catty-corner to Pharm Table and Mixtli seems to be the new home of La Panaderia’s seventh location following Brown’s abrupt closure in early February of this year,” the Journal shares.
For readers who are unfamiliar with La Panadería, the business is owned by brothers José and David Cáceres whose “passion for baking began when they were young boys selling loaves of their mother Doña Josefina’s fresh baked bread on the streets of Mexico City,” shares a brief introduction on the bakery’s website.
Eventually, they “opened bakery-cafe La Panadería in 2014 to share their Mexican heritage and love for baking with the people of their adopted hometown of San Antonio, Texas,” the statement continues.
What Now San Antonio reached out to José Cáceres to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before the time of publication.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
