According to a recently signed lease agreement, La Panaderia, a local bakery and cafe concept, plans to expand its San Antonio footprint.

Coming to NEC Loop 1604 W and Culebra Commons Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse, The Longhorn Cafe, and Trapper’s Sushi Co.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Co-Owner José Cáceres to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

For readers who are unfamiliar with La Panadería, the business is owned by brothers José and David Cáceres, whose “passion for baking began when they were young boys selling loaves of their mother Doña Josefina’s fresh baked bread on the streets of Mexico City,” shares a brief introduction on the bakery’s website.

Eventually, they “opened bakery-cafe La Panadería in 2014 to share their Mexican heritage and love for baking with the people of their adopted hometown of San Antonio, Texas,” the statement continues.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
