According to the San Antonio Current, local chef Nicola Blaque and Weathered Souls Brewing Co. are teaming up to debut a new concept in San Antonio, Barrel and Blossom.

Coming to 606 Embassy Oaks, Suite 500 — hopping into the kitchen at Weathered Souls — the eatery will land near establishments such as Max & Louie’s New York Diner, Hero’s Ramen x Sushi, and Hobby Lobby.

On the menu, locals can expect to find “Blaque’s Caribbean jerk-infused cuisine alongside the brewery’s craft beers, according to the owners of the two businesses” — as well as “smash burger sliders dressed with a hop-infused aioli, street tacos, and a grilled watermelon salad featuring a watermelon champagne vinaigrette.”

“Each dish is crafted to enhance one or more of Weathered Souls’ craft brews,” officials tell the journal.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the chef, Blaque is the brain behind local restaurants including The Jerk Shack, Mi Roti, and Freight Fried Chicken, Mi Roti

While a soft opening is scheduled for April 25, the eatery has not yet announced its grand opening date. Stay tuned for updates.
