Mattenga’s Pizzeria plans to debut a new location at 1387 FM 1103, in Cibolo — near establishments such as AutoZone, H-E-B, and Petco — according to a recently submitted permit application.
The filing discloses that renovations to the existing 2,700-square-foot space are slated to begin on August 6 and be completed early this December. For an estimated $95,000, local firm Above Ground Design, PLLC will carry out the project.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, “Mattenga’s Pizzeria is a family-owned group of restaurants with locations in Schertz, San Antonio, and New Braunfels,” according to its website. In addition to pizza, its menu boasts salads, chicken wings, and calzones.
What Now San Antonio reached out to Mattenga’s founders, Matthew and Hengam Stanfield, to inquire about the expansion, but they could not provide additional information before publication.
The upcoming Cibolo spot will mark Mattenga’s eighth outpost in the San Antonio metro area.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Mattenga’s Pizzeria on Facebook for updates.
