According to a recently submitted construction permit application, a local couple is bringing Jeremiah’s Italian Ice to New Braunfels.
Coming to 2292 Sophie Lane, the shop will soon be neighbored by establishments such as Avery’s Kitchen, Resolute Baptist Hospital, and the deli Roost.
The concept’s franchisee tells What Now San Antonio, “We visited a location in South Texas and we fell in love with the experience, not just the ice… We wanted to bring this to our town.”
He continues, “We picked Sophie Lane because the area is growing a lot; there are going to be a lot of homes, Topgolf is coming close by… We wanted to be in an area with a lot of young people and families as well.”
The upcoming spot will offer counter service, indoor seating, and a pickup window for to-go orders. On the menu, locals can expect to find gelati, Italian ice, and soft-serve ice cream in a wide variety of flavors.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the history of the concept, Jeremy ‘Jeremiah’ Litwack founded Jeremiah’s Italian Ice in 1996 in Winter Park, Florida. Today, the business is headquartered in Orlando and operates more than 130 locations across Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
