According to a recently published permit application, local eatery South BBQ & Kitchen plans to debut a new location in San Antonio.

Coming to 2100 N Main Avenue, the restaurant will land near establishments such as Cobalt, Gravves Coffee, and Main Street Pizza & Pasta.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the concept’s owner, Andrew Samia, to inquire about his plans for the upcoming spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing discloses that the business intends to remodel the existing 1,0830-square-foot building for restaurant dining and add on 1,440 square feet of restroom and back-of-house kitchen space. For an estimated $750,000, the project will be carried out by local firm Elevate Architecture.

For readers who are unfamiliar with South BBQ, the concept is known for its “smoked prime meats served with homemade sides and tortillas,” according to its Facebook page.

An opening date has not been announced yet. Follow South BBQ & Kitchen on Facebook for updates.
