According to a MySA, local Tex-Mex concept Papa Nachos Cantina plans to relocate to a new location in Alamo City.

Leaving behind its spot near the Dominion, the restaurant is coming to 25839 IH-10 West, landing just off of Ralph Fair Road.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the concept’s owner, Leila Bagheri, to inquire about her plans for the new location, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing reveals that “construction of a new free-standing restaurant with an outdoor patio” — including a “floor area of 8045 square feet with an outdoor covered dining patio of 1355 square feet” — was originally scheduled to begin on November 1, 2023.

Additionally, a restaurant representative tells MySA that “Papa Nachos owner [Leila] Bagherri is developing between 8 and 10 acres of land to bring a new shopping center and at least one other restaurant to the stretch of I-10 between Leon Springs and Boerne.”

While the location is changing, the menu will continue to feature breakfast and lunch items —such as huevos rancheros, cobb salad, and carne guisada — and dinner plates including enchiladas, tamales, fajitas, and pescado a la parrilla.

Papa Nachos Cantina is slated to open in August. Stay tuned for updates.
