Local watering hole, Stout House, will be opening its seventh outpost in the forthcoming Brooks development at 3201 Sidney Brooks Dr, with construction set to kick off in about two months, according to Stout House owner Doug Ackerly.
News of the Brooks location comes hot on the heels of the brand’s fifth opening in Alamo Ranch off Alamo Pkwy, with a Kallison Ranch restaurant at the corner of Culebra Rd and Talley Rd due to launch about a month from now.
“Thanks everybody for the support,” Ackerly tells What Now San Antonio. “We’ve got these that are opening this year and we’ve got big plans to keep expanding throughout San Antonio and surrounding cities.”
Stout House – which is part of Ackerly’s broader SATX Bars portfolio that includes The Hangar and Stetson brands – is a pub-style bar with some 20 craft beers on top. Each location boasts big-screen TVs, darts, pool tables, and open seating concepts for large groups. What’s more, the bars also host a litany of events such as live music and DJs, karaoke nights, UFC fights, and game nights.
