The Houston-based seafood restaurant chain Mambo Seafood plans to debut a new outpost in San Antonio.

According to a recently submitted permit application, the eatery is coming to 803 Castroville Road, where it will land near establishments such as Family Dollar, H-E-B, and Subway.

The filing shows that construction of the 7,822-square-foot, ground-up restaurant will begin on January 7, 2024, finish up in July, and cost an estimated $2,230,000 in total — and Dallas-based firm 4TWELVE Architecture is tasked with carrying out the project.

For readers unfamiliar with the concept, Mambo Seafood debuted its first outpost in San Antonio back in August, following “27 years of success in the Houston area,” according to its website.

The menu includes seafood soups and salads, ceviche, tacos, heaping plates of fried fish, seafood rice, and ranchero-style lobster, to name just a few options.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so follow Mambo Seafood on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
