The national deli company is preparing a new location just outside of San Antonio.

A new McAlister’s Deli location has been listed on their website, at 1-10 Frontage Road & Christus Parkway in Boerne. This would be the ninth deli opening around the city. An opening date for the new restaurant has not been revealed.

The company’s locations serve specialty sandwiches and soups, with favorites being the McAlister’s club and the broccoli and cheddar soup. A choose two option is offered, which allows for one half a sandwich and choice of salad, spud, soup or half starter. The Chicago-style french dip is a popular choice for the half sandwich.

“Join us for hand-crafted sandwiches, fresh salads, ginormous spuds and our famous sweet tea. Once you’re here, relax and let us handle the rest,” says the description about the new location.

The Boerne deli will be opened by Sun Holdings, a franchising company with brands like Burger King, Krispy Kreme, Popeyes and Arby’s. Justin Hart, vice president of operations, is listed as specializing in the McAlister’s Deli brand for the company. What Now San Antonio is waiting to hear back from representatives of Sun Holdings about the new opening.

McAlister’s new location will be off of Interstate 10 near S Main Street. This is south of the city’s downtown, and would be joining restaurants in the area such as Las Palapas and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers. The 2,795 square-foot space is thought to be under construction now.

As it is early in the opening process, the company is keeping relatively quiet about the new deli. For more information on McAlister’s, visit their website.
