Fast-casual pizza restaurant chain MOD Pizza is coming to Boerne — planning to open next summer.

According to a recently submitted construction permit application, the eatery will debut at Boerne Town Center, a commercial site currently in development at the intersection of IH-10 W and Christus Parkway — near businesses such as Comfort Inn & Suites, Las Palapas Mexican restaurant, and Walmart.

What Now San Antonio contacted franchisee Kolenda Pink for comment, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing offers further insight.

Described as the interior remodel of an existing 2,800-square-foot space — with construction scheduled to begin in February 2024 and finish in May 2024 — the Baltimore-based architecture firm CallisonRTKL will carry out the project for an estimated $400,000.

For readers unfamiliar with the Seattle-based concept, “The MOD experience is built around high-quality, personalized products delivered superfast,” the eatery shares on its website, and is known for individually sized pizzas and hand-tossed salads that are fully customizable.

Since the company was founded by Scott and Ally Svenson in 2008, it has expanded to over 500 locations across the states and one in Canada.

An opening date has not yet been announced, so follow MOD Pizza on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
