According to public records, Morgan’s Wonderland — an accessibility-focused theme park in San Antonio with dining options such as Little Italy Bistro, Morgan’s Munchies, and Squad Shoppe — has closed temporarily in order to update its facilities.

A construction permit application shares that renovations of the 13,370-square-foot venue at 5223 David Edwards Drive began in November 2022 and are scheduled to be finished in March 2024. For an estimated $1,600,000, the project is being carried out by local firm Luna Architecture.

For readers unfamiliar with the venue, Morgan’s Wonderland shares, “Every day we work to provide a special place where smiles and laughter lead to wonderful memories with family members, friends and caregivers.”

“We want Morgan’s Wonderland to be a place where the common element of play creates an atmosphere of inclusion for those with and without disabilities, encouraging everyone to gain a greater understanding of one another,” the statement continues.
