According to MySA, a new concept focused “on embracing the fresh flavors that were created in the region” plans to open in Spring Branch this spring.

Coming to 11355 Highway 281, Desert Spoon will land near establishments such as Harmony Hills Cabana Club, Texas Iron Gym, and What’s Brewing Coffee Roasters.

Co-owner Trever Butler tells the Journal, “It’s really an unreal feeling for me. We’ve worked so hard on it and now it is a reality.”

The menu will be seasonal and rotating and “incorporate the taste of cultures that are known for the Hill Country flavors like German, Tejano, Indigenous people, Polish, African American and Western.”

“The vibes are such a unique experience as well. There is nothing like us out here where we are situated. We’re bringing something new to the community,” Butler said.

Desert Spoon is slated to open on March 15. Stay tuned for updates.
