According to the San Antonio Business Journal, Spurs Sports and Entertainment is adding a new set of concepts to its Culinary Residency Program at Frost Bank Center.

“The parent company of the NBA Spurs is extending its reach into the local culinary market, growing the program from eight to 12 diverse Alamo City restaurants that will have an opportunity to showcase their signature dishes inside the East Side arena,” the Journal reports.

One of these spots will belong to Donut NV, a national mobile food truck concept.

What Now San Antonio reached out to a Regional Director to inquire about the expansion, but additional information could not be provided before publication.

Nevertheless, the business offers a brief introduction on its website: Our hot, mini donuts are always made fresh to order… [and] finished with your choice of toppings – from classics like our cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar to new favorites.”

“The Spurs Culinary Residency Program is more than just a showcase of delicious food; it’s a celebration of the stories and passion behind each local business,” Kevin Barker, Associate Director of Culinary Experience for SS&E tells the San Antonio Business Journal.

He continues, “By expanding the program and involving fans in the selection process, we want to highlight the unique narratives and culinary traditions that make San Antonio’s food scene so special.”

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
