According to a recently submitted permit application, a new joint IHOP and Applebee’s restaurant plans to open in Irving in 2026.

Coming to 2607 TX-1604 Loop, the eatery will land near establishments such as Church’s Texas Chicken, El Tequila Mexican Restaurant & Bar, and Whataburger.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the location’s franchisee, Danny Hakim, to inquire about his plans for the spot, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing reveals that the “new ground-up construction for a new [5,620 square-foot] restaurant” is scheduled to begin on June 5 and finish on March 6, 2026. Irving-based ID Studio 4, LLC, is tasked with carrying out the project for an estimated $1,200,000.

This will mark the franchisee’s second joint IHOP and Applebee’s location in the San Antonio area.

A reopening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
