According to the San Antonio Current, a new speakeasy, Il Segreto, is opening in San Antonio’s North Side. While an exact address has not been shared yet, the eatery is reportedly landing near Shavano Park along Huebner Road.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the concept’s co-founders — Ciro Di Costanzo, who is also the co-founder of Quintana Rum, and Chef Gennaro Locricchio of Po Po Trattoria Pizzeria — to inquire about their plans for the cocktail bar, but they could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the Journal reports that the cocktail menu will feature Quintana Rum and offer drinks including a chocolate martini and a Tuscan Flower cocktail.

The food menu will boast light bites, such as carpaccio di peccato — a plate consisting of sliced pear served with Parma prosciutto, tomatoes, whipped burrata, fresh basil, honey, and lemon zest. Redfish ceviche and orzo cinque terre — a pasta salad often made with seafood and vegetables — will also be offered.

“Gennaro hails from Naples. If you’re going to try authentic Italian cuisine, his cooking is the way to go,” Costanzo tells the San Antonio Current.

Il Segreto is slated to debut in late July and entry will be by invitation and referral only. Stay tuned for updates.
